Dr. Beth Pendergraft was installed as the President of the Georgia Reading Association at the Summer Leadership Meeting in Savannah on July 15. The Georgia Reading Association is a membership organization whose mission is promoting literacy in Georgia.
Dr. Nai-Cheng Kuo had a fourth manuscript accepted for publication this year. “Art Therapy: The Journal of the Art Therapy Association will publish “Antecedent-based intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders,” which Kuo penned with Dr. Joshua Plavnick from Michigan State University.
Dr. Rebecca Harper has two new articles accepted for publication. One article will be published in the SRATE Journal, a regional publication; the second article will be published in Writing & Pedagogy, an international journal.
The Department of Teacher Education would like to welcome four new faces to the Special Education team: two adjunct professors Drs. Michael Berg and Theresa Pettyjohn, and two adjuct lecturers, Kate Long and Karyn Warren. They will begin instruction Fall 2014. Joining us in the fall as Associate Professors in Curriculum and Instruction are Dr. Niki Christodoulou and Dr. Molly Quinn. Dr. Quinn has already been on campus and Dr. Christodoulou plans to arrive from Cyprus soon.
