Education student runs NYC Marathon

Chris Blanco, a graduate assistant and M.A.T. student in the Augusta University College of Education, will compete in the TCS New York City Marathon this Sunday. Blanco is a 2010 graduate of Augusta University with a degree in Communications, and worked for CareSouth Health System, Inc.until returning back to school for his Master of Arts in Teaching.

He and his wife, Emily (pictured) are both avid runners. Chris finished first in his age group in the Augusta University Half Marathon and placed 8th overall.
